Participation Guidelines

1. All employees of New Wide can submit entries. (Employees who leave during the event period are considered to forfeit automatically.)
2. The shooting time for photos is from January 1, 2018, to December 20, 2024, and the photos must be taken in the New Wide's production areas.
3. Photos that have won any public competition awards are not eligible to participate.
4. Please keep the original files of all photos. If selected for an award, you will need to provide the original file for verification upon notification.
5. Each submitted photos must include a short description of no more than 100 words, including a title and content description.
6. Employees who leave during the event period will have their participation and awards eligibility canceled.

Prizes

• • Total prize money exceeds $10,000 USD!

• • Merit Prize - 6 winners / $100 USD each

• • Preliminary Participation Award: Customized by each production area

• Winning works from the final selection and special match will be displayed and awarded at the 50th anniversary celebration in 2025.
• *The organizing committee has rights to adjust the awards and guidelines.

Timeline and Rules

Preliminary Selection / "New Wide Global Village"

1. Time: August 2024 – December 20th, 2024
2. Production Area : Taipei, China (Shanghai, Changzhou, Kunshan), Vietnam Phuoc Dong, Vietnam My Phuoc, Cambodia(NWG/NWA), Africa (Kenya/Lesotho)
3. Submission Rules: Employees can only submit photos in their areas that fit the themes (e.g., Shanghai, Kunshan, and Changzhou belong to the China production; NWG&NWA belong to the Cambodia production; however, Vietnam Phuoc Dong and Vietnam My Phuoc are considered different productions). Each theme allows for only one submission per person.
4. Voting Rules: From Dec. 21st to 29th, 2024, each person can vote once per day in each of the three categories in their production area.
5. Result Announcement: January 13th, 2025.
6. Selected Photos: Automatically qualify for the final selection.

Judging Panel and Evaluation Standards:

Final / New Wide " Shining for Fifty Years, Continuing the Legacy "

1. Time: December 2024 - March 2025
2. Submission Rules: Winning works from the preliminary selection automatically qualify for the final competition; no new submissions are accepted.
3. Voting Method: Each participant can cast 2 votes.
   1. 1 vote for a work from their own production area.
   2. 1 vote for a work from another production area.
4. Voting Rules: To encourage cross-area engagement and appreciation of each other’s photography, each employee must cast both (1 for their own production area + 1 for another production area) for their votes to be valid.
5. Result Announcement: March, 2025. Will be awarded at the 50th anniversary banquet.

Special Match/ "Business Traveller"

1. Time: December 2024 - March 2025
2. Submission Rules: Photos taken during business trips outside of the employee's respective production area that fit the themes. Each person is limited to one submission.
3. Submission Deadline: From Dec. 30th, 2024 to Feb. 14th, 2025.
4. Voting Rules: From Feb. 15th to 21st, 2025, one vote per person.
5. Result Announcement: March, 2025. Will be awarded at the 50th anniversary banquet.

Submission Guidelines

1. Both black and white and color photos are accepted. Photos must have high resolution (at least 3000 pixels), and each work must be an electronic file of at least 3000 x 2400 pixels.
2. File size Maximum 10MB.
3. Photos must include a title and a brief description.
4. Photos must be original, taken by the participant, with full copyright ownership. They cannot be edited, combined, or otherwise altered except for adjustments to brightness, contrast, color saturation, and sharpness.
5. Submitted works should adhere to the photography themes and submission specifications, and must not violate public decency or infringe on others' intellectual property rights. Copying, tracing, or other forms of infringement are strictly prohibited.
